Anita Pati was born and raised in an English northern seaside town and now lives in London. She was a Jerwood/Arvon mentee 2011/12, won the Wasafiri New Writing Prize for Poetry 2013, was an Aldeburgh Eight participant in 2015, and was one of three winners of the inaugural Women Poets’ Prize (2018/20). Her debut poetry pamphlet, Dodo Provocateur, won The Rialto Open Pamphlet Competition (2019) and was shortlisted for the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets.
